Skyworth Group Co., Ltd. is a large-sized high-tech public company headed by Hong Kong Skyworth Digital Holdings Co., Ltd. and spanning both Hong Kong and Guangdong Province. Engaged in manufacturing consumable electronic products, it has now become one of the three leading color TV manufacturers in China. Established in 1988, Skyworth was formerly named Skyworth Industrial Co., Ltd. mainly providing TV remote controllers. Shenzhen Gongming production base
With a floor area of 200000m 2 , Shenzhen Gongming production base owns nine high-speed TV production lines, one new products experimenting line for 14-38 TVs, one PDP production line, one LCD production line, one CCK production line, two DVB production lines, 46 full-automatic computer card plugging machines, 33 large-sized injection mould machines, 22 mini machines, over 300 pieces of other supporting equipment, eight spray coating and screen silk printing and transfer machines, 19 automatic foam forming machines, two recovery granulating machines, and so on. The seven component workshops respectively manufacture parts such as inductors, loudspeakers, degaussing coils, connector assemblies, and so on. With nearly 5000 employees, the manufacturing base has a daily production capacity of 20000 TVs, and a yearly capacity of 5.5 million TVs.
Shenzhen Shiyan large-sized production base
With an expected self-raised investment of RMB1 billion, Shenzhen Shiyan large-sized production base is also known as Skyworth flat display industrial park. With a floor area of 412164.92m 2 , and a construction area of 658750m 2 , it is expected to be Chinas largest flat display technology base. The project is to be constructed in three phases. The construction area for the first phase is 230000m 2 , with an investment of RMB350 million. The first phase was started in February 2004, and the main body consisting of six workshops has been finished. The project will be used for hi-tech products production centered by digital display technology, for example, LCD TVs, PDP TVs, digital high-definition TVs, and digital high-definition projection TVs, and its annual production capacity will be 10 million sets.
Inner Mongolia large-sized production base
Skyworth (Inner Mongolia) Co., Ltd. is jointly invested by Shenzhen Skyworth-RGB Electronics Co., Ltd. and Hong Kong Skyworth Digital Holdings Co., Ltd. The registered capital of the company is US$10 million, and the total investment amount is US25 million. Located in Hohhot Economic Development Area of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the company occupies a floor area of 245 mu, and has a designed yearly production capacity of 4 million TVs. The production base was put into construction on August 8, 2005. By now, the main body building has been completed, including injection mould plant, foam plant, whole system plant, raw materials and finished products warehouses, and office and living facilities. The first phase is expected to be put into production by July 2006. By then, it will become a large-sized TV production base two high-speed whole system production lines and supporting capabilities with a yearly output of 1 million TVs. |
