At the initiative period of the enterprise, our main problem is which industry we shall enter or what shall we do. At this moment, the initiator shall decide the starting point and direction of the enterprise. For a good beginning, initiator of Skyworth chose the field he’s most familiar with and with best resources—home appliance manufacturing. However, the business world is full of cruelty. The first suffering for the initiator and the enterprise is the cruelty of the business world. Our initiator finally made Skyworth stand among the industry with his acute insight, firm resolution and positive passion.

·1988—Hong Kong Skyworth Industrial Co., Ltd is established
·1990—Formally enters the industry of manufacturing (TV remote controller)
·1992—Skyworth Group is established in Hong Kong
2.Pioneering Period (1993-1996)
Features
The main problem encountered during this period is that of resource and production capacity. For the enterprises, especially those private enterprises in pioneering period, resource (production permission, preferential policies and land) is the most difficult link. In 1993, Skyworth established Shenzhen Skyworth—RGB Electronics Co., Ltd through joint venture to solve the problem of resource. With the Skyworth Electronics City in Bao’an District being built and put into production, the problem of energy was also solved.

·1993—Skyworth Group and China (Shenzhen) Color TV General Company, China Electronic Device Industry General Company established Shenzhen Skyworth—RGB electronics Co., Ltd through joint venture.
·1996—Skyworth Electronics City is built and put into production in Bao’an District, Shenzhen City
3.Fast Growing Period (1996-2000)
Features
During this period, the advantage in operation mechanism and efficiency of Skyworth as a private enterprise has got fully displayed. Flexible mechanism and high efficiency is the key to the success of this period. Skyworth came from behind to be ranked among the top four players of the industry in the fierce industrial reshuffle.However, fast growth in the scale also puts the enterprise into new problems. The main problems in this period are that of capital, technology and talents. The fast continuous growth of the scale has exerted great pressure on the limited capital; it’s an urgent task to build up technical advantages in the serious product homogenization and price battle of rivals; meanwhile, high quality talents and fresh talents have also become the necessary condition for the growth of Skyworth.

4.Reforming Period (2000-2004)
Features
In the world the only thing that keeps unchanged is change. After Skyworth was successfully listed, the property of the company got changed. Price battle in color TV industry, internal governing of the company and professional manager have become the main problems encountered by Skyworth. Managers of this period began to shift from experience type to knowledge and experience combined type. Skyworth spirit also shifted from individual heroism to teamwork spirit. Skyworth management entered the age of group professional managers.

5.Second initiative period (after 2004)
Features
An incident in 2004 did not strike down Skyworth; instead it made Skyworth people more cohesive and strong. Skyworth has begun to sail off against the wind after going through crisis and competitiveness, toil and miseries.
