Skyworth Elected among CES “China Consumption Electronics Leading Brands Top10”
On January 10, the 45th CES kicked off at Las Vegas. The “2011-2012 China Consumption Electronics Leading Brands Top 10” award ceremony which is honored as “Oscar for China’s consumption electronics industry” was also held on the same day. With its stable development in market performance and rapidly growing brand competitiveness, Skyworth was awarded the honor of “2011-2012 China Consumption Electronics Leading Brand Top 10” and was also listed among the World TV Brand Top 20, displaying to the world the excellent quality and intelligent thinking of Chinese brands.
It’s reported that the event was hosted by IDG (International Data Group) of the US, with the authoritative research body IDC China and GFK as the top co-organizers. The election event has been held for six times. The event was launched in May 2011. For eight months or so, tens of thousands of people from all walks of life have taken part in the public network voting. An appraiser team composed of senior brand experts from home and abroad was established to carry out professional evaluation. And finally top ten competitive brands were elected out of the 20 nominated Chinese enterprises. The election event was themed on “boosting the brand’s competitiveness with sustainable development”, aiming to show that only those brands with sustainable vitality are the edged tools to win in competition.

According to the newest data, Skyworth’s TV sales volumes in December and during the period from April to December are respectively 1.107 million sets and 5.596 million sets, up 17% and 14%, while the gross sales has grown by 27% and 20%, which has indicated the continuous and powerful sales growth dynamic of Skyworth. And the sales of LED TV in December and during the period of April-December has also grown abruptly by 165% and 183%, taking up 70% and 56% of the sales volume of flat-panel TV, a big growth from the average 26% of last year.
In the election of 2011’ best companies held by Asia Money, an authoritative financial monthly in Asia, Skyworth was elected as “2011’ Chinese Companies of Best Management with Medium Market Value” for its stable growth of business in the year. And its solidified communication with the capital market has made it recognized by the capital market. Besides, the stable growth in business has also brought continuous increase of the brand value. According to the 2011’ brand value ranking of Chinese electronics enterprises, the brand value of Skyworth Group has soared to 28.169 billion RMB, 5.801 billion RMB growth compared with 22.368 billion RMB in 2010, with a growth rate of 25.9%. It has been granted the honor of “Top Ten Brands with Fastest Growth in Value”, and has become the enterprise boasting the fastest growth in brand value in the color TV industry for four years in a row.
